I’m considering to have my work hours on 7am to 4pm to have a 4 hours of overlap between Tokyo and Seattle.

The idea is from Remote. I’m reading the book to learn how to make remote work effective because my company is already scattered across the globe. I don’t have to be enthusiastic about remote work but I have to embrace the situation.

And then the authors recommended to have 4 hours overlap.

At 37 signals, we’ve found that we need a good four hours of overlap to avoid collaboration delays and feel like a team.

I can understand the situation because sometimes I saw the delay and felt “not a team”.

So I will try the idea this week. I’m not an early bird but I’d like to be.
